Africa: They’re all together again!

I was able to Facebook chat with Conor this morning.  They have had showers again for the first time in 7 days and feeling pretty good.

Update from Kyle:
This morning went on about a 1 mile hike to see the Italian Lady that runs a clinic (AKA Catholic Mission) This was a very nice compound that treats over 150-180 people per day. The Sister gave us a tour of the facility then treated us to tea. They also check on about 50 malnourished children. They weigh and feed them every Wed and give them rations for the week. They also have some trade teaching and a Kindergarten. The team is now ALL IN ONE PLACE. PTL!!! We have had lunch with the local church in Shire and will have service with them a 6:30pm local time. (3 hrs from now).

Update from Conor:
We have arrived back in Shire today after leaving early this morning.  It was bittersweet to say goodbye to our Mai Aini friends after we have made such good relationships with them and with the camp.  We are confident that great strides have been made in providing practical needs to the underage children, and we know that we are more than welcome to continue in the future.

As we arrive in Shire, everyone is pretty tired, and several still in different stages of getting over sickness of one kind or another.  Please continue to pray for health as we will have a long flight in a couple of days that will not be fun if we are sick…;)
Tonight, we will join the church in Shire for a service, and have testimonies, music, and preaching from the team.  We will be up early in the morning for our flight to Addis Ababa, and then have a day and half to rest, shop, and prepare to go home.  There is so much more to share, and I look forward to showing pictures, videos and stories of the people we encountered and how they have changed our lives.  While this has been a challenging trip for us as a group (especially harsh conditions), we have had nothing but good come out of it.  May God continue to open doors for future help and ministry!
